Your case history takes 20-30 minutes, and is essential in understanding the origins of the problem. And also viewing the current situation in the context of the other events you’ve gone through, and some you have probably forgotten about can be the most significant! haha. It is also very important for me to understand the impact of medication, past surgery, illness and accidents and also current health of the 12 body systems – for your safety and comfort.
If necessary I can communicate with your doctor or consultant about your treatment and in order to get hold of any information you don’t have possession of, relevant to your general health. For this I most often write a summary that I give to you to pass to your clinician but I can also communicate directly with them with your written consent to do so.

These are three independent disciplines that share knowledge, medicine and some of their skills. I’m happy to discuss and more than likely to recommend say physiotherapy if I think it might be better for you. Chiropractic and osteopathy share more skills perhaps, but the philosophy of practice can be quite different. Between practitioners too, there can be great variability. As a Physical Wellbeing specialist, I borrow most of my knowledge from the field of Osteopathy: its principles and philosophy. And in some ways it is how these are applied in technique that is the most important thing to the patient. In general, I am on the gentle end of the spectrum, utilising cranio-sacral, functional and visceral concepts. Approaching the whole body with rhythmic and rotational articulations of the traditional model of Osteopathy, manipulating with the ‘clicks’ only where appropriate and prudent to do so – with your full and informed consent. I am experienced in an array of skills that I have honed during the last 26 years of practice.
